Hello Stranger

I must say, talking to a stranger can be very frightening but exciting at the same time. This is in my list of Empowering things to do – talk to a stranger!
My flight to Davao got delayed due to bad weather last Friday. I was tired and irritated. I had to charge my phone. Then a nice, respectable, charming guy (maybe in his late 20’s) came up to me and said “Hi! Your flight’s been delayed too?” Hah! This is the guy that I noticed in the lobby carrying an expensive bouquet of flowers and OMGosh he’s saying ‘Hi’. Ok, compose yourself … c’mon smile! I smiled and said “yup”. And that’s where it began…we talked and talked…he said the flowers are for his Mom (yeah, right!), he’s from Iloilo and has a good business in Paranaque – the name of his company I will not mention. Anyway, it was quite interesting but of course we had to take our respective flights so we parted.
I just think it is amazing how people meet and how we can actually create connections in our lives. He gave me his number but I didn’t give mine, that’ll be too much for the first meeting. Hmmm…interesting…absolutely interesting…
